This aligns with the global shift towards greener energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.\n<br><br>\n<b>Licensing and Promotion<\/b>\n<br>\nWhen issuing generating licenses, the Commission promotes various types of generation:\n<ul>\n<li><b>Embedded Generation:<\/b> Smaller scale electricity generation located close to where the electricity is used.\n\n<\/li><li><b>Hybridised Generation:<\/b> Combining multiple forms of power generation to create a more reliable and efficient energy system.\n\n<\/li><li><b>Co-generation:<\/b> Simultaneous production of electricity and useful heat from the same energy source.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n<br>\n<b>Extraordinary Circumstances<\/b>\n<br>\nThe Commission can direct generating licensees to operate under specific conditions during extraordinary circumstances. This includes:\n<ul>\n<li><b>Threat to State Security:<\/b>Situations where the country’s security is at risk.\n\n<\/li><li><b>Public Order:<\/b>Scenarios affecting the general peace and order within the country.\n\n<\/li><li><b>Natural Calamities:<\/b>Events like earthquakes, floods, or other natural disasters.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n<br>\n<b>Offset of Adverse Impact<\/b>\n<br>\nWhen the Commission directs a generating licensee under extraordinary circumstances, they must find ways to mitigate any negative impacts that arise from these directions.
